The Blacksmith of the Heavenly Tree's Twelve Saints, Faf — that's me!

Full Art

Description

He is a hero of the Heavenly Tree’s Twelve Saints and an ancestor of Keel. He was formerly a cavalryman, and at some point for a certain reason he changed career into a blacksmith. He is very lively and has an easygoing, dashing air about him, and among the Twelve Saints, he’s regarded as the group’s mood-maker. He’s not good at thinking about difficult matters, but his manual dexterity and strong build make him a first-rate fighter with an halberd as well as in combat, and he also enjoys the deep trust of Varuna.

He has both CRIT UP for Fire allies, self Continuation MATK UP and Continuation CRIT UP, quite reliable passive for the current state of Fire Magical
Amazing stats, very good MATK, good SPD, and quite bulky.
His DB grants Damage Cap Up to Fire allies alongside some very questionable very minor Spear Damage Boost and Magic Tool Damage Boost (depending if there are enough Spear and Magic tool allies), and hits 2 or 3 times Single Target depending if there is an ailment or not.
His PW does 2 good Row hits, gives himself a good MATK UP while allies get a smaller one, and if there are 3 other Spear or Magic tool units, he gives another minor Spear Damage Boost, since it stackes with his DB it makes this buff....OK?
He is MADE for a Beast Score Event.
His PW's buff, Spear Damage Boost is really confusing because weapon like Favs Anvil <HIS OWN FW> does the same effect for free and no conditions,so you're expected to use it for a very lower than average MATK UP??? Also Fire Rathma's Third attack too.
His DB's buff are so small and serve only 1 visible purpose being, granting Yuya Aoshima Magic Tool Damage Boost so he can do an extra hit for his DB...but his Blaze Gun Azure Flame does it already and is a good weapon, very good Single Target, just OK in 3+ targets.
His DB hitting Single target is really sad when his team wanted All DB spam comps and because he has Damage Cap Up he's a must bring.
Overall, while being the most important Fire Magical unit as of the time i'm writing i consider Faf very disappointing to say the least; note that comparing across elements is bad but Fire Magic was and still is in need of better units, especially for a Chapter release unit, why is he so....weak? when we see Zelfang, Argzeruch, Earth Gabu or Earth Schmiel, he has no big purpose and the worst team gets the worse unit? What a discrimination. His DB being Single Target is really disastrous compared to 3 of the better ones are 2 hit All with BETTER effects, he's still amazing and hugely appreciated but when we see what other teams get it's just sad for him, especially being an ancestor, he won't go down for a long time but we'll hope to see his kit finding a bigger purpose with future releases.
